Concert ukulele

I have never understood why this size isn't more popular; when I was building tenors for Collier Thelen at Music Exchange Hilo I used to build only a couple of concerts every 2 months or so.

I can't quite get on with the squat shape produced by Martin; instead I favour the Johnny Marvin Redhead model. I  prefer a 12 fret to the body configuration for aesthetic reasons but if required, will make 14 frets to the body with either a 15 or 18 fret total fingerboard. Like all my 12 fret models it has a 13 fret fretboard. The model shown here was made up from one of my kits...

I am ambivalent about tuners on concerts and tenors. This particular instrument started out with wooden friction pegs but now has Grover geared tuners.
