Two new ukulele
I have been associated with The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain for over 15 years so and have mnade instruments for individuals in the Orchestra so I thought it was time I built a UOOGB model.
After a lengthy discussion with George it was decided that I would produce two: a concert and a soprano model made entirely from British timber. The concert model will be a reproduction of George's first Howlett which had a deep body and was made from English walnut. This instrument was stolen back in the 90's from George's car... This is to be known as The Lost Ukulele. The soprano is being made from Scottish alder and will be known as The Rhythm King - this is currently being prototyped and will be evaluated by the orchestra in November 2011.
