Work/Life balance

After working long hours each week for the past 4 years I have decided to cut them to spend more time with my family. This is effective immdeiately. The Saturday open workshop will now cease.

Please understand that any delivery time is 'notional'; I will try to meet it and will let you know after the work has started how long I estimate it will take to complete. Very often, I have to take days out of the workshop for deliveries and buying trips; more important I have to take 'rest' days after I have completed commissions. Delays occur.

Sometimes clients get very impatient and then start to email constantly for updates. If you are one of these please discuss with me before you place a commission because the pressure that constant emailing produces will force me to politely refund your deposit.

If you follow me on Twitter and are confused that work seems to be progressing but not on your piece it is often because I am not in 'soprano mode' or 'tenor mode'. Often I get an idea that sticks in my brain and unless I 'unload' this I cannot properly concentrate on the work in hand - I have to take time out for these 'creative moments'... so please be patient; I always deliver the work, mostly on time, sometimes not. You will however get your piece...
